Please read this Privacy Policy (“Privacy Policy”) carefully as it contains important information that relates to you.

We are POPID, Inc, a Delaware company doing business as “POPID” (“POPID”, ”we” and“us”).  We provide a service for authenticating your identity for the purposes of connecting you to customer accounts and loyalty programs, making payments, obtaining physical entry in to structures and other activities (the “POPID Gateway”) as well as additional web-based and/or mobile software that we make available from time to time(collectively with the POPID Gateway, the “Service”).

The Privacy Policy describes how we process the personal information of users of our Service (“User” and “you”).

1.  Collection of Information
For the purposes of this Privacy Policy, “Information” means personal information provided by or collected about you in relation to your use of the Service which includes, but is not limited to, your full name and telephone number.  You expressly acknowledge and agree to us sharing your Information with POPID certified merchants (“Merchants”) to allow these Merchants to authenticate your identity in connection to your use of the Service.  

2.Merchants.
The Service contains connections to web sites, applications, loyalty programs and similar platforms (collectively, the “Merchant Services”) provided or hosted byMerchants.  Your use of the MerchantServices is subject to and conditional upon your acceptance of any terms, conditions and policies implemented by the Merchants, from time to time, with respect to the Merchant Services.  We are not responsible, in any manner whatsoever, for the connection to and your use of the Merchant Services and the sharing of and use and storage by the Merchants of your Information.

3.  Combination of Information from Merchants.
We may combine your Information with information we collect or receive about you from Merchants including, but not limited to, social media and social networking accounts and such additional information will form part of the Information for the purposes of this Privacy Policy.

4.  Automatic Collection of Information.
When you use the Service, we also may use various technologies, including cookies, web beacons, pixel tags, log files, local shared objects (Flash cookies), HTML5cookies, or other tracking technologies, to automatically collect yourInformation, including aggregated measures of the Service’s use and aggregated technical and other data about your use of the Service that do not personally identify you.  We may use this data to analyze, improve, support and operate the Service, for distribution in general benchmarking data and industry and/or other usage and demographic reports, and other business purposes.  We may also remove your Information from point of sale machine or device data and aggregate it with other anonymous data, pool and/or combine aggregated data with other information.

5.  Sharing of Information.
We may share your Information a) with Merchants; b) with our subsidiaries and affiliates; c) to comply with any law, judicial proceeding, court order or other legal process; d) to our agents to improve the content and functionality of the Service; and e) to investigate, prevent or take action regarding illegal activities, suspect fraud, situations involving potential threats to the safety of any person.  

6.  Cookies and Online Advertising.
Our cookies and other tracking technologies help provide additional functionality to the Service and help us analyze the Service’s usage more accurately.  For instance, our Service may set a cookie on your browser that saves your login credentials. You can set your browser or operating system settings to limit certain tracking or to decline cookies, but by doing so, you may not be able to use certain Service features.  Please refer to your web browser’s or operating system’s website or ”Help” section for more information on how to delete and/or disable your browser or operating system from receiving cookies or controlling your tracking preferences.  We support the self-regulatory principles for online advertising (“Principles”) published by the Digital Advertising Alliance (“DAA”).This means that we allow you to exercise choice regarding the collection of information about your online activities over time and across third-party websites for online interest-based advertising purposes. org/choices/ to place an “opt-out” cookie on your device indicating that you do not want to receive interest-based advertisements. Opt-out cookies only work on the internet browser and device they are downloaded onto. If you want to opt-out of interest-based advertisements across all your browsers and devices, you will need to opt-out on each browser on each device you actively use. Please note that when you opt-out of receiving interest-based advertisements, this does not mean you will no longer see advertisements from us or on the Service.  It means that the online ads that you do see fromDAA program participants should not be based on your interests.  We are not responsible for effectiveness of, or compliance with, any third-parties’ opt-out options or programs or the accuracy of their statements regarding their programs. In addition, third parties may still use cookies to collect information about your use of the Service, including for analytics and fraud prevention as well as any other purpose permitted under the DAA’s Principles.

7.  Business Transfers.
In the event of a corporate sale, merger, reorganization, dissolution or similar event (“Transfer”), your Information may be transferred to the transferee as part of the Transfer.

8.  Legal Requirements.
We may disclose your Information if we believe, in our reasonable discretion, that such disclosure is legally required by any Court, authority or governing body with competent jurisdiction.

9.  Public Information.
This Privacy Policy does not apply to any Information in the public domain including, but not limited to, information posted in a public chat room or on social media and this public information is deemed non-confidential and we may reproduce, disclose, distribute or otherwise use this public information without limitation.

10.  Children.
We prohibit the use of our Service by children under the age of 13 years.  If you are aged under 13 years, then you should immediately cease using the Service. Likewise, if we become aware of such under-age use, then we will immediately delete the account and Information of the child.

11.  Analytics.
We may review, scan and analyze your communications on the Service for the purpose of improving the Service, regulatory compliance, investigation, product development, research and for customer service purposes.  

12.  Destruction of Identifiers & Information.
The Information includes, but is not limited to, biometric identifiers, biometric information and vectors (collectively, the “Biometric Information”).  We collect, store and use the BiometricInformation for the purpose of authenticating your identity in relation to you ruse of the Service. The Biometric Information will be collected, stored and used up to the date that it is destroyed being the earlier date of either:(a) the date when the initial purpose for us collecting and obtaining the BiometricInformation has been satisfied; or (b) three years from the last date of your use of the Service.

13. Security.
We are continuously implementing and updating administrative, technical, and physical security measures to help protect your information against unauthorized access, loss, destruction, or alteration.  Some of the safeguards we use to protect your information are firewalls and data encryption, and information access controls.  Unfortunately, however, no data transmission across the Internet or information storage technology can be guaranteed to be100% secure.  If you know or have reason to believe that your Information has been lost, stolen, or otherwise compromised, please immediately contact us at info@popid.com.

14. Updates. In the event we update this Privacy Policy, we will prominently post the updated version here with a new version effective date. Your continued use of the Service will be deemed acceptance of the updated Privacy Policy.
